“I wish I didn’t have to replace him..” He looked up, a little surprised and hugged Hatter. “Thanks H-Hatter, I don’t know.. I still feel like I’ll be really nervous around you still, since I’ll mess up somehow.. I’ll try to for you though, one day.”

“Madness doesn’t always make you hurt anything! It just makes you crave nonsense!”

“A stripper you say? Well I might as well be the first in line for that.”

“I used to do that, with my old friend. Now I hardly see him.

Um! I think I might be too nervous for someone I know to see me strip, and I don’t want you to have to see me do really badly,” he looked down, blushing.

“Oh an old friend. How about I be your new one then?”

“I bet you’ll do wonderfully no matter what. With a body like yours, Taito, I will not be surprised if you do lovely.”

“H-help me, Takano! I’m scared… I don’t want to be alone again. Don’t leave me alone again… please.”

“I-is it because I’m not good enough for you… is that it? I try every day to be better and pretend to not love you, but I feel like your absent from me.”

The taunts were pleasing the Hatter. Feeling of sorrow and guilt wrapped around his mind. This man, Onodera, seemed to hold great importance to this man’s life. A lover? A long lover that he’s had since high school. Hatter replayed the story they had together in their mind. 

“Please save me! This man… he’s going to cut my head off!” His voice became panicked. 

Not good enough—? Of all people, Onodera would know that he was more than enough for him. Despite the lack of affection he claimed to not show or feel for the man, the situation should have been inverted. Clearly, he did not know Takano as much as he believed he did. With dark brown optics slightly narrowing into a piercing glare, the male took a step forward, coiling slender digits around the other’s shirt as he felt the cloth entangle itself in his hand.

“Listen—”

He began to say, keeping his eyes locked onto his own. It may have been the face of the person he loved the most, but with cruel intentions — that of a devil, it made it clear to him that this man was not him. He forced on a shove with his hand, easing the other’s back up against the wall before continuing.

“I don’t know why you have to fuck with me, but don’t you dare bring Onodera into this.”

Onodera’s face dropped it’s expression when Takano wasn’t giving into Hatter’s little game. Soon it altered with skin moving around, changing the shape of who he really was.

“What a shame, what a shame.”

Hatter thought he would be some fun to play with. Yet, it was like playing with a dead mouse. Still, he wasn’t one to give up on someone who could potentially entertain him. 

“I thought you would play along for a little bit. He’s fun though to mess with, especially that cute expression he makes when he blushes and pretends that he’s alright.”

A gleam of insanity took over the different colored hues. Then again, the insanity never did drop even when he pretended to be Onodera.
